JOIN US AT THE OMNI AUSTIN!
The Surgidontics team is excited to host our 6th annual Surgidontics Conference. Our conferences are designed around high level academic topics that are immediately applicable within your practice. We keep our meeting small, less than 20 attendees, to cultivate a collaborative environment. The Surgidontics team works hard to curate experiences outside of the lectures for you and a guest from dinners to one of-a-kind activities. There is a growing need for academics in the ortho-surgical field. Patients are becoming more knowledgeable and seeking specific practitioners with very precise goals in mind.

MEET OUR SPEAKERS
We are excited to bring Dr. Diego Peydro from Valencia, Spain to discuss the use of aligners in treating complex malocclusion patients using a detailed, comprehensive protocol. Using modern digital orthodontic procedures, Peydro will help orthodontists approach every complex malocclusion case with a step-by-step process based off real-world, clinical experience. Orthodontists will learn an exact method for facilitating predictable outcomes that ensure both functional and aesthetic-based results, improving the patient experience and the applicability of aligner treatments.
Dr. Jae Park will also be speaking at the conference, delivering an insightful lecture on the combination of TADs, aligners, ortognathic surgery, and digital ortho practices for maximizing treatment potential in contemporary orthodontics. Park will utilize real pre and post-op patient records to highlight areas of opportunity in complex ortho patients, identifying comprehensive diagnoses with detailed, procedure-backed treatment plans.
Jae Park, DMD, MSD, MS, PhD
Various Clinical Applications of TADs, Clear Aligners, Orthognathic Surgery, and Digital Orthodontics in Contemporary Orthodontics
Course Description:
Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) offer a practical way to provide anchorage for various types of tooth movement. For instance, TADs and novel appliances are used to treat challenging cases to control vertical, sagittal, and transverse dimensions. Treatment outcomes will be discussed using pre- and post-treatment records, including cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Nowadays, clear aligners (CAs) and digital orthodontics are very popular along with orthognathic surgery. This presentation will also explore how TADs and CBCT can be used to facilitate orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning, treatment simulation, and assessment of skeletal and dental changes along with CAs, orthognathic surgery, and digital orthodontics.
Diego Peydro
Simple Protocols to Achieve Outstanding Results in Complex Malocclusions with Clear Aligners
Course Description:
The aim of this session is to further educate fellow orthodontists in the clear aligner technique for their day-to-day orthodontic practice. By demonstrating proven protocols, predictable outcomes can always be achieved with clear aligners. During this condensed lecture by Dr. Diego Peydro, the focus will be placed on various powerful complex clinical cases. The complexity of malocclusions presented in these clinical cases will be unraveled and solved by following clinically proven biomechanical laws. The digital orthodontist will gain greater knowledge on how to digitally plan a complex crowding malocclusion without extraction, build confidence in safely opening spaces for implants, gain control over distalization movements in both arches, and experience the predictability of anterior dental open bite closure with clear aligners.
Steven D Sherry, DDS, MD, FACS
Surgical Orthodontics
Course Description:
In order to practice contemporary orthodontics, practitioners must employ an array of techniques to address a myriad of oro-facial disorders. From sleep disordered breathing to congenitally missing teeth to TMJ pathology to the mutilated dentition, each brings its own set of challenges. Practitioners must know when and how to implement modalities needed to treat these diagnoses. This lecture is a series of case presentations aimed at using an inter-disciplinary approach to solve these dilemmas.
John W Gannon, DDS
Surgical Orthodontics
Course Description:
Contemporary orthodontic practice requires a wide range of techniques to manage diverse oro-facial conditions. From TMJ disorders and sleep apnea to missing teeth and severely damaged dentition, each presents distinct challenges. Knowing when and how to implement the right treatment strategies is essential for effective care. This lecture highlights various case studies that emphasize the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in addressing and overcoming these complex dental issues.
